Talent exists everywhere, Opportunity should too.
At Birmingham Panthers, we believe every young person should have the chance to discover what they're capable of.
That's why we're so pleased to be partnering with the Pakistan Netball Academy, an organisation doing fantastic work to create opportunities for players from British Asian and Muslim communities.
Together, we want to help more young people discover netball, develop their confidence and realise that this is a sport where they belong.
The Pakistan Netball Academy was created to provide more opportunities for players who haven't always seen themselves represented within the game. Alongside developing talented athletes, it is helping inspire the next generation by creating visible role models and pathways that feel achievable.
For us, that's exactly the kind of partnership we want to build.
Birmingham is one of the youngest and most diverse cities in the UK. If we're serious about growing our sport, we need to reflect the communities that make our city so special. That means listening, building relationships and creating opportunities that are accessible, welcoming and genuinely open to everyone.
Over the coming months, we'll be working together through community activity, school engagement and the Gateley Gateway to Netball programme, introducing more young people to the sport and helping them take their next step, whatever that looks like.
Women's sport is growing at an incredible pace, and with that growth comes a responsibility to make sure more people can share in the opportunities it creates.
We're excited about what this partnership can achieve together, and this is only the beginning.
